Our community of teams has a shared idea of what grassroots soccer should look like, and every year we celebrate that proudly. But with the World Cup coming up, our festival of grassroots soccer means more than ever.
FIFA may have the global superstars (and potentially hundreds of our hard-earned dollars), but we have sights on the sidelines that they wouldn't dare have. Teams warming up with a fried chicken feast, substitutes sharing a keg, 50% of players' legs held together with knee braces and masking tape: it's all there at our flagship event, the annual Icarus Cup.
Put simply, the Icarus Cup is our summer festival of grassroots soccer, hosted in Philadelphia with our fellow Philly natives CASA Soccer.
Now approaching its 6th year, the Icarus Cup has grown to 1400 attendees and 80 teams, all of which get a custom kit designed specifically for the tournament. With a 7-a-side tournament, beer garden, live music, food trucks and parties throughout the weekend, it’s like your childhood soccer tournaments, all grown up.
We're currently hard at work planning the summer's most consequential soccer event (arguably)
Whether you'd like to enter a full team or put your name in the hat as a free agent, you can NOW sign up to our flagship event through our tournament partners CASA. See you there!
