No one’s more passionate about their city than Philadelphians. But with our newest tournament, we wanted to go even more local, bringing together bar staff and locals to prove our passion for the breweries, dive bars and taprooms that say ‘home’ more than any Liberty Bell ever could.
So, on November 22nd, we took to Ukie Club for ‘The Philly Local’, a casual 6v6 soccer tournament where every team will represent an area of Philly - and more importantly - a beloved bar from that neighborhood. As always, custom kits all round.
6 bars chasing bragging rights. Mud and leaves snuffing out counter attacks. Diego doing his best Rene Higuita impression. Black Sheep treating a dislocated knee with tequila shots. Schuylkill Wednesday workshopping chants on the bench. Marcus wielding the Eagles spatula. And, to cap it all off, a last-second backheel from Southwark to bring the trophy to Fountain Porter.
A massive thank you to everyone who came to take part, and to all the bars that lent their names (and regulars) to the Philly Local.
