About Maccabee Los Angeles
Maccabee Los Angeles Soccer Club was founded in 1971 by a group of Israeli expatriates as a recreational Sunday League team. Within a decade, they had won 7 titles in the Greater Los Angeles Soccer League, 5 Lamar Hunt US Open Cups & competed in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
They are one of just two teams to have won the US Open Cup five times, with the other being Bethlehem Steel. This commemorative jersey honors the 40th anniversary of their final cup win in 1981.
